The sirens are screaming and the fires are howling way down in the valley tonight

There’s a man in the shadows with a gun in his eye and a blade shining oh-so-bright

There’s evil in the air and there’s thunder in the sky and a killer’s on the bloodshot streets

Oh and down in the tunnel where the deadly are rising, oh I swear I saw a young boy down in the gutter
He was starting to foam in the heat

WANK WANK WANK WANK WANK WANK

No spoilers? :(

But, yes~ Thanks!

Their reply was:

Um… why the sadface over “no spoilers”? I put that specifically because so many people haven’t read it yet—it’s not fair to them to put spoilers in the post or in the comments. I know that if someone had spoiled the book for me that way, I would’ve been IRATE, as well as extremely disappointed both in the being spoiled and in the thoughtlessness involved.

Sorry, spoilers are a sore point with me.

But enjoy the book. :)

Guess what, guys? Knowing that someone dies doesn’t really change anything. Most Harry Potter fans revive their favorite characters in their shitfiction anyway. The important part of the plot is something you can’t summarize in “LUPIN DIES ON PAGE 743.” In fact, spoilers are just conclusions. You can’t gain the entertainment or joy or whatever you get out of Harry Potter by reading spoilers–which you don’t even know are true. You’ve still got to read the book to even know if Lupin really dies on page 743. But my point is, what’s most important are the events leading up to the character’s death, otherwise known as the actual story.

In the words of someone I entirely forget (feel free to tell me who it is, if you know), how come you read–and enjoy–these Potterrags over and over again when you already know not only the ending, but the events of these entire books? Knowing which characters die or even the ending of a book doesn’t devalue it, and those of you that suggest that it does, stop being such self-righteous crowd-followers and admit that you’re just clinging on to the puerile idea that spoilers, well, despoil the book.

Oh, but I guess I can’t expect maturity from people that’re bitching about a children’s book.

Fucking tl;dr.
